Residential AV Installations

Residential AV installations have become an area of particular expertise for Elektron. Multi room audio and video and home cinema systems have been designed and installed by Elektron throughout the UK and in mainland Europe.

Multi room audio and video systems allow the user to choose from a variety of audio and video sources, for example a hard disk server, tuner, or dvd player to watch/listen to in any room. Meanwhile someone in another room can watch or listen to the same input source or an entirely different source.

Elektron has used multi room audio and video systems from a variety of manufacturers including products by Living Control and Opus. Both of these systems have a number of inputs to allow for a variety of sources and are controlled by wall mounted panels. Both systems display lists of track names or radio stations to allow for easy selection. Elektron are authorised installers of Digital Future Solutions iDyl system. This system allows your entire music and video collection to be stored in one place and accessed throughout the house. The iDyl system is connected to a computer network and can be controlled by any desktop PC, laptop or PDA connected to the same network.

With the advent of HD(High Definition) broadcasts and recordings, most clients are requiring systems capable of displaying this higher picture quality. In an HD system all components must be linked with the correct cables. Currently there are limitations on the lengths of these cables, therefore careful planning is required prior to the installation of a system. It is also important that a good quality AV amplifier and speaker system is used to complement the high definition picture. Only reputable brands are used.
